Handwara Police Organizes Anti-Drugs Rally and Awareness Program at Batagund

Handwara, DD, Continuing its efforts to combat drug menace and raise awareness among the youth, Handwara Police today organized an Anti-Drugs Rally and Awareness Programme at Government Middle School Batagund.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students, teachers, and staff of GMS Batagund, alongside police officials and locals of the area. The rally, aimed at spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse, commenced from the school premises and passed through various parts of the village, raising slogans against drug addiction.

Speaking on the occasion, police officers highlighted the increasing threat of drug abuse in society and urged the students to act as ambassadors of change by staying away from drugs and spreading awareness within their communities. Pamphlets and awareness materials were also distributed during the event.

The initiative was highly appreciated by the school administration and the local population, who lauded Handwara Police for its continued commitment to youth engagement and community welfare.

Handwara Police reiterates its resolve to continue such awareness campaigns in the future to build a drug-free and healthy society.DD
