Kargil, DD, Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today met Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri to discuss various issues related to transport and communication.
During the meeting, the CEC discussed the issue of Toll Tax charged by the Sonamarg Development Authority on the Ladakhi vehicles.
The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir informed that there are certain legal issues with the concerned contractor which will be sorted soon.
The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir further added that the matter will also be discussed with the Secretary Tourism for its proper resolution and the issue has already been communicated to the Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal as well.
It is pertinent to mention that the CEC Kargil will further convey the matter to the UT Administration Ladakh for further official communication with the UT of J&K for its redressal, so that the general public may not suffer in future.DD
