TRAGIC WALL COLLAPSE IN UDHAMPUR CLAIMS 11-YEAR-OLD’S LIFE, LEAVES TODDLER SERIOUSLY INJURED

Udhampur:DD, An 10-year-old boy died while a one-year-old girl got seriously injured as the under-construction kutcha house’s wall collapsed on Sunday in Pundal village of Latti-B Panchayat of Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district. The deceased child has been identified as Pardeep Kumar age 10, son of Ashok Kumar. Meanwhile, Ambika Kumari, daughter of the same family, was shifted immediately to Latti Primary Health Center (PHC) for the treatment.
Because of the severity of her injuries, medical staff at Latti PHC referred Ambika Kumari to the Associated Hospital Government Medical College Udhampur for advanced medical care. Former Sarpanch of Latti-B, Kasturi Lal Gupta, who was among the first responders, rushed to the scene after receiving information about the incident. He promptly alerted both the police and relevant authorities about the tragedy.
Deputy Commissioner of Udhampur, Saloni Rai (IAS), agreed that this was a tragic accident and reported that a team was sent to the spot for further probe. The tragic incident has triggered shock waves in the community. However, the medical and local authorities’ response showcases the efficacy of the response system, but could not save young Pardeep Kumar.DD
