Srinagar:DD, The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Thursday witnessed uproarious scenes after Speaker disallowed an adjournment motion moved by BJP members regarding the rehabilitation and compensation of flood victims.
As per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, BJP legislators accused the Chair of “deliberately disallowing” their resolution related to flood relief and rehabilitation. The Speaker clarified that the motion would be taken up after the Question Hour, but the assurance failed to pacify the agitated members.
The House descended into chaos as BJP MLAs raised slogans of protest. The uproar intensified when several NC legislators also stood up, raising slogans of “Chor Machaye Shor”, leading to noisy scenes before the House proceedings resumed. (KNC)
