Kathua, TDD, A Police Public meeting was today organized by the SHO Women Police Station Kathua at Goond area of Police Post Nagri in which she interacted with the villagers particularly women of the village and discussed the problems faced by them.
The meeting aimed to address the pressing issues faced by the community , particularly women which includes: Domestic Violence & its Impact on families, Illicit liquor (country-made) being sold by individuals from adjoining area leading to Domestic violence against women, Substance abuse among men,Misuse of social media by children and increasing cyber fraud complaints and the rising concerns of drug abuse among children.
The chairing officer engaged in an open discussion with the villagers, emphasizing the need for collective responsibility to address these issues.She said there is much more need of monitoring children’s online activities and educating them about cyber safety.She assured the women of full support and assistance from Women Police Station Kathua in addressing their concerns.
This Women’s Police Station initiative aims to create a safer environment for women and children, tackling the root causes of domestic violence and Drugs abuse.TDD
