NCC Cadets Must Lead Unity and Nation-Building: LG J&K Manoj Sinha

SRINAGAR, Kashmir (India): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday interacted with NCC cadets participating in the ‘Special National Integration Camp’ organised by the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Directorate, Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh, emphasising the vital role of youth in nation-building and social harmony.

Addressing cadets from across the country, the Lieutenant Governor described the camp as a living symbol of India’s spirit, where young participants are not merely witnessing history but actively shaping it.

“India places its hope and confidence in its youth, trusting that the young generation will lead the nation to greater heights. NCC cadets must honour that trust by living the values of the NCC and spreading them across communities,” Sinha said.

Highlighting India’s cultural strength, the Lieutenant Governor said the country’s diversity has always been its greatest asset and that India has successfully transformed diversity into unity over centuries.

“For India, diversity is our greatest strength. Our civilisational power lies in weaving many cultures into one shared national spirit,” he said.

Sinha urged cadets to apply the lessons of unity, discipline and leadership acquired during the camp towards social development and nation-building.

“The values of unity in diversity and leadership qualities learned here must be used to improve society. The spirit of patriotism nurtured at this camp should be carried forward with responsibility and dedication among youth in your states and cities,” he told the cadets.

The Lieutenant Governor observed that NCC youth represent both India’s present strength and the architects of its future. He noted that although the world is undergoing rapid transformation, Indian youth possess the confidence and skills necessary to face emerging challenges.

Emphasising the importance of purposeful leadership, he said NCC cadets possess remarkable creative energy and determination, which should be channelled towards constructive nation-building.
