MLA Tarigami Seeks Equitable Ad Distribution, Protection of Journalists in J&K Assembly

Srinagar:DD, Kulgam legislator Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami called on the Jammu and Kashmir government to introduce a fresh media policy to address disparities in the allocation of government advertisements and to uphold the freedom of the press.

Speaking in the Assembly as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, Tarigami pointed out the challenges faced by media organizations, including Greater Kashmir, which have seen continuous suspension of government ads.

He stressed that even media houses pending formal empanelment need support, and reiterated that safeguarding journalists’ rights and security must be a priority. (KNC)
