Ladakh Admin facilitates safe evacuation of stranded passengers

Leh: The UT Ladakh Administration, acting on the directives of Lieutenant Governor, Kavinder Gupta, successfully facilitated the safe evacuation and passage through Zoji-La Pass for all passengers stranded from Sonamarg and Minamarg today.

The rescue operation was efficiently executed by Sub Divisional Magistrate, Drass, Vishal Atri, along with officials from Ladakh Police and District Administration, Kargil, ensuring the safe passage of all affected individuals amidst challenging conditions.

As of now, the Zojila Pass stands closed due to adverse weather forecast, and the general public is strongly advised to plan their travels strictly in accordance with the travel advisory issued by Traffic Police Ladakh.

Kavinder Gupta commended the coordinated efforts of SDM Drass, district officials and police teams for their prompt response and commitment to public safety.DD
