Anantnag Police Conduct Searches Linked to Banned Organisations at Multiple Locations

Anantnag: DD, Anantnag police on Wednesday conducted searches linked to banned organization at multiple locations across the district.

Continuing its drive to dismantle the separatist-terror network and maintain public peace, Anantnag Police today carried out coordinated search operations at multiple locations across the district.

The searches were conducted at the residences of individuals suspected of links with banned organisations including Hurriyat and Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) etc, in connection with FIRs registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act – UAPA.

During the operation, various premises falling under different police station jurisdictions were searched for incriminating material related to the proscribed outfits, some of which was recovered and seized on the spot. The entire process was conducted in the presence independent witnesses, ensuring complete transparency and legal compliance.

These searches form part of the ongoing investigation to expose and dismantle the ecosystem supporting separatist and terror activities.

Anantnag Police reaffirms its commitment to uphold peace and national integrity and warns that any element attempting to disrupt law and order or revive banned organisations will face strict legal action, reads the statement. (KNC)
