Kishtwar, DD, The Congress Party displayed a remarkable show of strength and unity at Sinthan Top as former minister and senior political figure Ghulam Mohammad Saroori made his first public appearance in Inderwal, Kishtwar after rejoining the party.

Hundreds of party workers and leaders gathered to welcome Saroori, whose return is seen as a major boost to the Congress, particularly in the Chenab Valley region. The event turned into a grand reception, reflecting the renewed enthusiasm within party ranks.

Saroori’s comeback is expected to revitalize the party in the region where Congress once held a strong grip, represented by prominent leaders like Abdul Majid Wani, Mohammad Sharief Naiz, Ashok Kumar, and Vikar Rasool Wani. His re-entry into the party fold is being hailed as a strategic move ahead of upcoming political developments in Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing the gathering, local Congress leaders emphasized the importance of unity and collective leadership in reclaiming the party’s political base in Chenab Valley. They also underlined the need for experienced voices like Saroori to guide the younger generation of Congress workers.

Saroori, while speaking at the reception, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and assured the people of his unwavering commitment to development and public service under the Congress banner.DD
