Two Absconders arrested from Ladakh by Chenani Police

Udhampur :DD- In a significant breakthrough, District Police Udhampur successfully apprehended Ashok Kumar Son of Hukam Singh Resident of Upper Madha, Chenani and Anju Devi Wife of Ashok Kumar Resident of Upper Madha, Chenani who had been evading arrest for the last three years.

Both the accused were wanted in case FIR No. 38/2022 under sections 363/376/344/109/201/506 IPC and Section 4/6 of the POCSO Act registered at Police Station Chenani. The case pertains to a heinous crime committed in 2022, following which the accused went into hiding and continuously changed his locations to evade law enforcement.

To facilitate his arrest, the Court of Principal Sessions Judge Udhampur had issued a warrant under Section 512 Cr.PC.

Acting on specific information, a dedicated team of Police Station Chenani led by SHO Chenani meticulously planned and conducted a series of coordinated raids. Demonstrating perseverance and strategic precision, the team tracked down and arrested both the absconders from Ladakh.
