The Court of JMIC Akhnoor and 3rd Additional Munsiff JMIC, Jammu delivered the verdict today, marking a progressive step towards reformative justice. The two separate incidents took place within the jurisdiction of the Police Station Akhnoor and Police Post Gajansoo, where the accused persons were found intoxicated and creating a public disturbance. They were promptly arrested, subjected to a medical examination, and presented before the concerned Judicial Magistrates.Rather than imposing traditional imprisonment, the court opted for community service as a corrective measure. Yash Pal has been directed to perform community service at Gaushala in Akhnoor for one hour daily for 10 days while Surat Singh and Sushil Sharma have been directed to perform community service at Shri Baba Jitto ji Temple Jhiri two hours daily for one week.
