Udhampur :TDD,In a significant political development, Arvind Kejriwal, the National Convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), addressed a “Dhanyabadh ” rally in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, where he launched a scathing attack at the ruling party.
Kejriwal criticized the ruling party for reducing both Delhi and Jammu & Kashmir to “half states,” limiting their administrative powers.
In a surprising move, he extended an offer to Omar Abdullah, a prominent leader in the region, suggesting that if Abdullah faces any difficulties in governance, he could learn the art of administration from Kejriwal himself.
During his address, Kejriwal predicted Omar Abdullah’s imminent rise to the position of Chief Minister, referring to him as the CM candidate of the India Alliance.
The AAP leader pledged full support to Abdullah, drawing parallels between the administrative challenges faced in Delhi and the newly configured Jammu & Kashmir.
Kejriwal highlighted the limited powers granted to the Delhi government and expressed concern that Jammu & Kashmir has been subjected to similar constraints.
The rally also served as a platform for Kejriwal to express gratitude to the people of Doda for their overwhelming support of AAP candidate Mehraj Malik. He articulated the AAP’s vision, emphasizing that it transcends traditional party politics and represents a new ideology focused on fundamental improvements in education, healthcare, and public services.
Kejriwal contrasted AAP’s approach with that of other parties, claiming that AAP is uniquely committed to transforming people’s lives through tangible development initiatives.
In his speech, Kejriwal outlined his comprehensive plan for nationwide improvements in schools and hospitals, asserting that the AAP’s intentions are pure, unlike those of their political opponents.
He cited Delhi’s transformed government schools as an example of AAP’s successful governance model.
The event also featured addresses by AAP MP Sanjay Singh and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who joined Kejriwal in criticizing the central government and the BJP’s policies.
