J&K Police Observes Rashtriya Ekta Diwas with Parade and Pledge Ceremony in Jammu

Jammu, DD: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday organized a special parade and pledge ceremony in Jammu to mark Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrated every year on October 31 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and to uphold the spirit of national unity and integrity.

Speaking on the occasion, IGP Jammu, Bhem Sen Tuti as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC said that Rashtriya Ekta Diwas holds great significance in the national calendar as a day dedicated to strengthening social and national integration.

“We are celebrating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel today. As part of this, all police stations were directed to organize at least three programs in their respective areas. In line with that, unity marches are being held across various locations,” he said.

He added that following the event, a Unity March would also be carried out in Jammu to symbolize collective commitment towards peace, harmony, and the ideals of a united India. (KNC)
