J&K Govt Eases Qualification Requirement for Marriage Assistance Scheme

Srinagar: DD, The Jammu and Kashmir government has announced a relaxation in the minimum qualification requirement for the Marriage Assistance Scheme for girls from economically weaker sections.

As per Government Order issued by the Commissioner Secretary, Social Welfare Department as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, In partial modification to Government Order No.49-JK(SWD) of 2022 dated 22.03.2022, sanction is hereby accorded to the relaxation of minimum qualification bar of 8th Class Pass or equivalent upto 31.03.2028 under Marriage Assistance Scheme.

Accordingly, amendment to Government Order No.49-JK(SWD) of 2022 dated 22.03.2022 annexed as ‘A’ is also incorporated. This order shall be effective from 01.04.2025 onwards, reads the order. (KNC)
