Katra:TDD, A dangerous situation was avoided earlier today as a bus transporting Devotees experienced a fire outbreak near Katra while en route to Jammu railway station. The event took place at approximately 3:00 PM in the vicinity of Bhai Nallah along the Katra-Jammu highway.
According to eyewitnesses, the bus suddenly burst into flames, causing panic among the passengers. However, the driver’s quick thinking and prompt action in evacuating all passengers prevented any Injuries and casualties.
Police and fire brigade personnel rushed to the scene and brought the fire under control. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team has been dispatched to the spot to collect evidence and ascertain the cause of the fire. A thorough investigation is underway to determine whether the fire was accidental or due to some other reason.The timely evacuation of passengers has been attributed to the driver’s presence of mind. The bus was completely gutted in the fire, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.TDD
