EVADING ARREST SINCE 19 YEARS HARDCORE ABSCONDER HELD BY DODA POLICE

Doda, DD, Continuing its special drive against wanted criminals and absconders Doda Police has arrested absconder who was evading arrest from more than 19 years.

While giving details SSP Doda Sh Sandeep Mehta JKPS said that absconder namely Asif Ali S/o Mohd Shafi R/o Bimna colony Srinagar A/P Bandipura Kashmir was arrested in case FIR No. 203/2004 U/S 279/337 RPC of Police Station Doda. After completion of investigation of the case, challan was produced in the court of law. The accused person was declared as absconder and warrant of arrest under section 299 Cr. PC was issued against him by the Hon’ble court of CJM Doda on 13-09-2005. Multiple attempts were made by Police to arrest him but every time he used to give a slip to the cops and was not appearing before the Police. Finally On the directions of SSP Doda, a police team was constituted from PS Doda under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Doda led by Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khnday SHO PS Doda. The Police team so constituted, during search utilized human and technical services and ultimately after hectic efforts the team arrested the absconder from Bandipura area, brought him at Doda and produced him before the court of law. Mentionable here that, special drive has been launched by Doda Police against the absconders and hard core criminals and as of now in last two months nine Absconders have been arrested and produced before the court of law.DD
