Army Organises Iftaar Meet Near LoC in Mendhar; Hundreds Participate

Mendhar: The Indian Army’s Counter-Insurgency Force (Romeo) organised an Iftaar meet for villagers living near the Line of Control (LoC) in Mendhar, with the aim of strengthening relations with the local population during the holy month of Ramzan.

The event witnessed the participation of hundreds of villagers from nearby areas, who joined Army personnel to break their day-long fast. The Army served traditional meals and refreshments to the attendees, who gathered in a spirit of brotherhood and communal harmony.

During the interaction, Army officers and local residents held detailed discussions on various issues, including matters of social importance and security concerns in the border region.

Religious preachers and community elders also joined the gathering and offered special prayers for peace, harmony, and prosperity in the region and across the country.

The initiative was appreciated by locals, who said such interactions help strengthen trust and cooperation between the security forces and the border population.
