Rajouri: The Indian Army organised a motivational lecture at Naili in Rajouri district to encourage local youth to pursue careers in the Defence Forces. The programme was attended by students, teachers and residents from nearby areas.
The session focused on career opportunities in the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force, with speakers highlighting the values of patriotism, discipline, leadership and selfless service associated with military service.
Participants were briefed about various entry schemes, eligibility criteria, recruitment procedures and training opportunities. The speakers also emphasised the importance of physical fitness, academic excellence and strong moral character.
An interactive question-and-answer session allowed participants to seek clarification on recruitment rallies, written examinations, Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews and long-term career prospects. Experiences shared by Army personnel further inspired the youth to consider a career dedicated to serving the nation.
A total of 48 participants, including 37 students, seven local residents and four teachers, attended the programme. The participants appreciated the Army’s efforts to raise awareness about career opportunities and empower local youth.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, encouraging the younger generation to contribute to nation-building with dedication, determination and a spirit of selfless service. The programme also strengthened the bond between the Indian Army and the local community.
