Srinagar, (DD): Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah visited the Police Control Room (PCR) in Srinagar today to pay solemn tributes to the victims of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam’s Baisaran area.

In a brief but emotional ceremony, floral tributes were offered to honor the memory of the 26 civilians who lost their lives in the attack. Senior police officials and security top brass were also present as the national leadership stood united in expressing grief and reaffirming commitment to justice.

Speaking to officials, Amit Shah expressed deep anguish over the killings and said the perpetrators would be brought to justice. “This attack on innocent lives is an attack on the peace and integrity of our nation. We will not rest until those responsible are held accountable,” he reportedly said.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah emphasized the need for intensified counter-terror efforts and stronger security for tourists and locals alike. “We stand with the families of the victims in this hour of pain. The people of Jammu and Kashmir will not be intimidated by such cowardly acts,” he stated.

LG Manoj Sinha echoed similar sentiments and reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to safeguarding civilian lives.

The visit to PCR follows a high-level security review chaired by the Home Minister and comes on a day when the Valley is observing a complete shutdown in protest and mourning over the attack(DD)
