Udhampur: Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of the Northern Command, visited the strategic Rampur Sector today to assess the local security situation and the effectiveness of the counter-terrorism grid. During his visit, the Northern Army Commander held high-level discussions with senior officials from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF, and other security agencies.
He highlighted the importance of viewing the region’s safety as a collective mission, noting that achieving a terror-free environment depends on all forces operating as a single, unified team.
While interacting with the personnel on the ground, Lt Gen Sharma praised the soldiers for their constant vigilance and heart-led dedication to maintaining peace.
He urged the various security wings to continue improving their intelligence-sharing and operational synergy to stay ahead of emerging threats.
By emphasizing a human-centric
approach to security, the Northern Army Commander encouraged the troops to remain deeply connected to their mission of protecting the community while maintaining the sharp professionalism required for the region’s stability.
