Indian Army Brings Vital Medical Services to Remote Areas of Poonch

Poonch: A medical camp was organised with the objective of addressing the healthcare needs of the local population, particularly the Gujjar and Bakkarwal communities residing in far-flung and difficult terrain.
The initiative reflected the Indian Army’s steadfast commitment to community welfare, humanitarian assistance and inclusive development.
The camp witnessed the active participation of a dedicated medical team, along with Army doctors and AYUSH doctors.
In addition, the ECHS medical team from Poonch extended valuable support, ensuring comprehensive and holistic healthcare coverage for all beneficiaries.
A wide range of medical services were provided during the camp, including general health check-ups, specialist consultations, medical screenings, blood investigations, ECG examinations and physiotherapy services, along with the free distribution of essential medicines.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local population, with patients availing quality medical care and expert medical advice at their doorstep.
The interaction between Army personnel, medical professionals and civilians fostered an atmosphere of trust, goodwill and mutual respect.DD
