Army Postal Service Releases Commemorative First Day Cover

Akhnoor: The Army Postal Service commemorated the Diamond Jubilee of the illustrious Kalidhar Brigade by releasing a specially designed First Day Cover (FDC) at Akhnoor.
The occasion marked the culmination of a series of events organised to honour the Brigade’s glorious 60-year saga of valour, sacrifice and sustained operational excellence.
The commemorative First Day Cover was unveiled by GOC, Crossed Swords Division, in the presence of Commander Kalidhar Brigade, along with gallant serving personnel of the Indian Army.
The First Day Cover (FDC) symbolically captures the bravery and supreme sacrifices of soldiers who laid down their lives in defence of the nation.
Designed to reflect the indomitable ethos of the Indian Army, the First Day Cover features evocative illustrations of soldiers in action alongside national symbols, serving as a lasting tribute to the Kalidhar Brigade’s distinguished journey over the past six decades.
The event concluded on a note of deep reverence and pride, reaffirming the nation’s unwavering gratitude to its soldiers.
