CRPF Personnel Critically Injured in Alleged Self-Shooting at Pantha chowk Yatra Transit Camp

Srinagar,(DD): A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) head constable was critically injured after allegedly shooting himself at the Yatra Transit Camp in Panthachowk on Sunday morning.

Gunshots were reported from inside the camp, prompting police and other security personnel to rush to the scene. Initial investigations indicate that the injured, a head constable of the 62nd Battalion and a resident of Basani in Bihar’s Lakhisarai district, allegedly fired at himself.

He was immediately evacuated to PCR Kashmir in critical condition for urgent medical treatment. Authorities have taken cognisance of the matter, and an investigation is underway(DD)
