Poonch, DD: In a major crackdown against drug trafficking, the Police Station Mendhar has successfully arrested a notorious drug peddler involved in the illegal trade of narcotics. A team from Police Station Mendhar during a routine Naka at Sangala chowk Mendhar apprehended the individual, identified as Mohd Tahir s/o Mohd Bashir a resident of Kotta, Mendhar.
The arrested individual was found in possession of approximately 10 grams of Heroin, which was seized by the police as evidence. A case Fir no. 36/2025 under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused, and further investigation is underway to determine the broader network of drug peddlers in the region.
