Nowshera, (DD): An Indian Army soldier sustained bullet injury in a cross border fire opened from Pakistan along the Line of Control in forward area of Nowshera.
Immediate medical attention was provided at the post, following which he was airlifted by an Army helicopter to Command Hospital, Udhampur, for advanced treatment.

The attack marks a serious ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC), raising concerns about renewed hostilities in the Bhawani sector, Nowshera.
The Indian Army is expected to take appropriate countermeasures, and further developments are awaited.

This incident comes amid ongoing tensions along the LoC, where periodic cross-border violations have been reported despite ceasefire agreements. Officials have confirmed that surveillance in the area has been heightened. (DD)
