Udhampur :DD, Preeti Khajuria expressed regret today in a press conference on the mistreatment meted out to ex-minister Harsh Dev ji in the deputy CM’s office. Preeti Khajuria said that when a leader goes to another leader with the problems of the public, that leader is abused and pushed out of the office and his clothes were also torn, so how far is this appropriate? Has the deputy chief minister sitting on the chair forgotten the dignity of his chair or has he become so desperate that he could not see who and why has come to him or has he become intoxicated by the chair of the deputy chief minister. He has forgotten that the chair has been given for the work of the public and not to show people the way out of their offices. Preeti Khajuria said that if an ex-minister can be treated like this, he was also abused and his grievances were not heard, then what about the common people, they cannot even think of going to the deputy chief minister’s office. Preeti Khajuria said that as long as such ministers are in power, the public will remain disappointed. Such representatives should not be made ministers. Today, when the people of Jammu and Kashmir elected their representatives and sent them to the assembly with the hope that they will find solutions to their problems, which were not found in the last ten years, but today these representatives of the public are either fighting for themselves or fighting among themselves. So how will the problems of the public be solved. Preeti Khajuria said that we need good and better leaders for the future too, but seeing such insults, no one will want to come into politics, which means that the future of the country is also in danger. Today, when governments are preaching to people to become responsible citizens, then when will the responsible society get responsible leaders. A leader should do dharnas, raise voice for the solution of public problems, submit memorandums etc., but when the leaders themselves start looking bad, then where will the public go. Preeti Khajuria also said that he is not the first Deputy Chief Minister, many ministers have sat on this chair before him but hardly anyone has behaved like this. There have been many big ministers, be it former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad or former Health Minister Chaudhary Lal Singh, who worked for the entire state and its people. But some people’s greed for power becomes so great that they forget to remember their promises made to the public.
