Various delegations call on LG Ladakh

Leh, Various delegations from different parts of Ladakh called on the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, at the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat.

A delegation comprising supporting staff engaged under MGNREGA, now rechristened Viksit Bharat—Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB—G RAM G) Bill, 2025, called on the Lt Governor and raised issue related to their honorarium and job security.

Another delegation from Kukshow raised issues related to the village, including improving the telecommunication network in Kukshow, Pacharik, and Dargo, construction of an ice rink for the youth, and resolution of land issues in Dargo.

Similarly, a delegation from Karsha, led by BJP State President Tashi Gyalson Khachutse, called on the Lt Governor and requested funds for the renovation of Karsha Monastery, which suffered damage during the 2023 earthquake.

A delegation from Ubrak, Zanskar, called on the Lieutenant Governor and requested the removal of illegal encroachments in the village and allotment of land for construction of houses at a new site, as the previous location is prone to avalanches.

During the interactions, the Lt Governor assured them that the UT Administration remains committed to working for the benefit of people across all villages, ensuring governance reaches even the last remote corner of Ladakh. He assured all delegations that their representations would be forwarded to concerned departments for time-bound resolution in the larger interest of Ladakh’s people.DD
