Suspicious Blast Near Ex-Sarpanch’s Residence Sparks Panic in Samba’s Ghagwal

SAMBA, A suspicious late-night explosion outside the residence of a former local official has triggered a security alert in the Ghagwal area of District Samba.

The incident occurred during the early hours of Monday, causing visible damage to property but resulting in no casualties.

According to official reports, the blast took place between 1:00 AM and 2:00 AM near the main entrance of the home belonging to Ex-Sarpanch Jai Ram Sharma (son of Bua Ditta) in Harsath village.

The force of the detonation was strong enough to damage the house gate, sending shockwaves through the quiet neighborhood and creating an immediate atmosphere of panic among the residents.

“The sound was deafening, and we immediately noticed the damage to the gate, but we are grateful that no one was standing nearby at the time,” sources close to the family noted.

Following the blast, Jai Ram Sharma promptly alerted the Ghagwal Police Station. Security forces and police teams rushed to the site shortly after to secure the perimeter.

While the cause of the explosion remains unclear, authorities have officially taken cognizance of the matter and forensic teams are expected to examine the debris.

An investigation is currently underway to determine the nature of the explosive and the motive behind the incident.
