Kargil, DD: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, met with Ms. Tsering Angmo, Area Director, Special Olympics Bharat, UT Ladakh, and Ms. Sonam Dolma, President.
During the meeting, the Special Olympics Bharat delegation requested the CEC to organize a health check-up camp for special children of District Kargil in collaboration with LAHDC and District Hospital Kargil.
Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon appreciated the efforts of the organization and assured that, in proper consultation with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kargil, a suitable date will be fixed to hold the camp in the district.
Special Olympics Bharat (SOB) is the Indian branch of the global Special Olympics movement, which provides sports training and athletic competitions for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.DD
