Sheikh Nasir Urges Immediate Action to Resolve Telecommunication Crisis in Marwah”

Imran shah

Kishtwar: DD,Sheikh Nasir Hussain, Additional General Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has expressed deep concern over the persistent unavailability of telecommunication facilities in Marwah, which has left the local population in distress. He stated that despite repeated protests by the people, the administration has shown no urgency in addressing their grievances. The project to lay optical fiber, initiated several years ago, remains incomplete, and the mobile towers installed by various companies in the region are still non-functional.

Sheikh Nasir emphasized that the lack of telecommunication and internet services is pushing the people of Marwah further behind in the race for development. Essential services, including government employees’ attendance systems and online procedures for official tasks and form submissions, are severely impacted. This disconnect has created significant hardships for the people, isolating them from modern governance and developmental opportunities.

He further stated that it is unacceptable for the residents of Marwah to remain deprived of such a basic necessity in today’s digital era. The ongoing negligence is not only causing inconvenience but also hindering the region’s progress.

Sheikh Nasir has made a strong appeal to the administration and the government to expedite efforts to operationalize the telecommunication system in Marwah. He urged the authorities to ensure that the people of the region are provided with reliable internet and communication facilities without further delay, enabling them to lead a more connected and progressive life.DD
