Nagrota:DD, Sainik School Nagrota brought the curtains down on its 49th Annual Athletic Meet with a spectacular Closing Ceremony held at Maj Somnath Sharma PVC Mini Stadium on 10 Oct 25. The event was graced by Colonel Kuldeep Kachru, Commanding Officer, 4 J&K Battalion NCC as the Chief Guest, who felicitated the winners and commended the cadets for their exemplary sportsmanship, discipline, and competitive spirit.
Over the course of the meet, cadets showcased remarkable endurance, skill, and determination in a wide range of track and field events, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurturing physical fitness, resilience, and leadership qualities among its students.
In the overall standings, Chenab House, Sindh House, and Jhelum House secured the top three positions in the Senior Category, while in the Junior Category, Chenab, Jhelum, and Sindh claimed the first, second, and third places respectively.
The following athletes were adjudged Best Players of the Meet in their respective categories:
Girls (Junior): Sneha Vishwakarma (4654, Sindh Junior)
Girls (Senior): Kriti Sharma (4577, Sindh Senior)
Boys (Junior): Kavya Krishna Singh (4553, Chenab Junior)
Boys (Senior): Ramansh Kushwaha (4327, Sindh Senior)
Addressing the gathering, Col Kuldeep Kachru congratulated all participants and emphasized the significance of sports in building character, teamwork, and leadership-essential attributes for future officers of the Armed Forces.
