Reasi :TDD, The brave sacrifices of police and paramilitary forces were honored today on National Police Day, also known as Police Commemoration Day, at the Martyrs Memorial District Police Lines Reasi. A poignant tribute was paid to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation’s unity and integrity.
Contingents of police and paramilitary forces participated in the commemoration parade, where Deputy Commissioner Reasi Vishesh Paul Mahajan, SSP Reasi Gaurav Sikarwar, and other senior officials laid wreaths at the Martyrs Memorial. Families of martyrs, prominent citizens, and social activists also joined in paying respects.
SSP Reasi read the “Roll of Honour” listing the names of martyrs from across the country. Proud family members of Reasi’s police martyrs were present to remember their loved ones’ sacrifices.
As a token of appreciation, the police department presented gifts to the families of martyrs. SSP Reasi and his team also interacted with the families, listening to their concerns and providing assistance. The SSP assured the families that the J&K Police would continue to support them in every way possible.TDD
