Poonch Police Attaches Property of JKNOP

Poonch, DD, In a significant legal action, Poonch Police has attached immovable property measuring 6 Kanal belonging to accused Mohd Bashir, son of Ghulam Din, resident of Bagyal Dara, Tehsil Haveli, District Poonch. The action has been taken under the provisions of Section 88 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), in accordance with the directions of the Hon’ble Court.

Mohd Bashir was involved in FIR No. 70/2000 of Police Station Poonch, registered under Sections 2/3 of the Egress and Internal Movement (Control) Ordinance (E&IMCO). He had absconded to Pakistan/PoJK and was subsequently declared a proclaimed offender by the court.

Despite sustained efforts to apprehend him, Bashir continued to evade arrest, prompting the Hon’ble Court to order the attachment of his property. Acting on this directive, the Poonch Police, in coordination with revenue authorities, executed the attachment of his immovable property.

This action underscores the Poonch Police’s firm commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that absconders and proclaimed offenders are brought to justice. Efforts to trace and apprehend Mohd Bashir are ongoing.DD
