PG Dept Pharmacology outshines at 16th ISRPT Cong in Pahagam

Srinagar,TDD,The PG Department of Pharmacology, GMC Jammu, outshined at the 16th ISRPT Conference held recently in Pahalgam, organized by GMC Anantnag.

Under the leadership of Dr. Seema Gupta, Professor and Head of the Department, the team from GMC Jammu made a significant impact at the conference.

The role play by PG students of Department of Pharmacology in assisting Dr. Vishal Tandon who was coordinator for the workshop on “Communication Skills in Medical Practices” was highly appreciated.
Dr. Seema Gupta chaired two scientific sessions on,”ICH GCP – recent changes “ & “Glutamate and NMDA Receptors- a Breakthrough in Neuro-Pharmacology” while Dr. Nusrat Kareem chaired sessions on “How to Use CAL Effectively” and “Antimicrobial Resistance – The Silent Pandemic.”
Dr Vishal Tandon delivered lecture on “Artificial Intelligence in Medical Practice and Clinical Research” while Dr. Vivek Mahajan also contributed with his lecture on “AI in Drug Discovery and Development.”
A significant highlight of the event was Dr. Vishal Tandon’s appointment as the new General Secretary of the ISRPT Society, marking a prestigious moment for the department.
Dr. Surbhi Mahajan, along with senior residents and postgraduate students, presented their research work, including 8 oral presentations and one poster. Two oral presentations bagging 1st and 2nd prizes and one poster being awarded 2nd prize were some of the achievements of the department. (TDD)
