Police warn of strict action against violators, urge public to cooperate

Srinagar, (DD)The Srinagar District Administration has denied permission for any public gathering or procession at Khawaja Bazar, Nowhatta on Sunday, July 13, 2025, citing security and law and order concerns.

In a public advisory issued on Saturday, Srinagar Police informed that all requests seeking permission to hold events or processions at the site have been formally rejected.

“The general public is advised to comply with the instructions and refrain from violating the orders issued by the administration,” the advisory stated.

Authorities have made it clear that any defiance will invite strict legal action under relevant sections of law.

The police have urged citizens to cooperate and maintain peace in the interest of public safety and communal harmony(DD)
