Missing Srinagar Boy’s Body Recovered from Jhelum After Three Days

Srinagar, May 26(DD): The body of a 13-year-old boy who had been missing for the past three days was recovered from the Jhelum River in Srinagar’s Noorbagh area on Monday morning, officials confirmed.

According to officials, the boy went missing on May 22 from the Noorbagh locality, prompting a search operation by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and other rescue teams.

His body was eventually found near Chochen Faqeer, Takanwaripora Noorbagh, after it was spotted by local sand diggers who then alerted the police.

The deceased was identified as Innayat Ahmed Ganie, also known as Anees, son of Gh Mohammad Ganie, a resident of Palapora, Goripora.(DD)
