LG Sinha Orders Major IAS Reshuffle in J&K — Ashish Verma to Head Tourism, Yasha Mudgal Moved to Youth Services

Jammu (DD)In a significant administrative reshuffle aimed at streamlining governance and enhancing departmental performance, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday ordered the transfer of seven senior IAS officers across key departments in Jammu and Kashmir.

As per the official order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), Dr. Ashish Chandra Verma (AGMUT: 1994), who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) of the Tourism Department. He will also hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Planning, Development and Monitoring Department until further orders.

Anil Kumar Singh (AGMUT: 1995), currently Principal Secretary, Social Welfare Department, and holding additional charge of the Mining Department, has been posted as Principal Secretary, Public Works (R&B) Department. He will continue to oversee the Mining portfolio.

Yasha Mudgal (AGMUT: 2007), Commissioner/Secretary of the Tourism Department, has been shifted to the Youth Services and Sports Department in the same capacity.

Sarmad Hafeez (AGMUT: 2009), previously Commissioner/Secretary of Youth Services and Sports, has been appointed as Commissioner/Secretary, Social Welfare Department.

Talat Parvez Rohella (AGMUT: 2010), Secretary of the Planning, Development and Monitoring Department, has been posted as Chairman, Bureau of Public Enterprises, J&K.

Bhupinder Kumar (AGMUT: 2011), Secretary, Public Works (R&B) Department, and holding additional charges as Director of Census Operations/Citizen Registration for J&K and Ladakh, Resident Commissioner in New Delhi, and Secretary, Hospitality and Protocol Department, has now been posted as Resident Commissioner, J&K Government, New Delhi. He will retain his other existing charges.

Ananth Dwivedi (AGMUT: 2021), CEO of the State Health Agency and Mission Director, Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Mission, has now also been given the additional responsibility of Additional Secretary, Revenue Department.

The reshuffle is seen as part of the administration’s continued push to strengthen service delivery and improve departmental coordination across the Union Territory.(DD)
