Jammu: J&K Pradesh Congress Committee has demanded a high level independent probe into all aspects and demanded answers from BJP over the serious allegations and facts disclosed concerning Rattle Hydro-electric Project in Kishtwar.
As per media reports, it is alleged that the role of BJP and its representative in the affairs and execution of prestigious Rattle hydropower project in Kishtwar.
As per the official statement, the JKPCC reacting to a story carried by the “Wire”, revealing serious allegations against the ruling party and its representative in the affairs and matter of execution of a prestigious power project of great public interest.
The JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma said that it needs a thorough independent probe into the matter to bring the entire truth before the public.
He said that alleged details revealed in the story are very startling in nature and people have right to know the entire truth into the alleged role of BJP & its representative, which has potential of stalling the important project.
The prestigious power project was sanctioned by UPA government headed by Dr Manmohan Singh, the then Prime Minister, for the larger benefit of people of the Chenab region and entire J&K.
“But the recent allegations and revelations into the affairs and the hurdles and pressures in the execution of this significant project by the ruling party is a matter of serious concern, as it has potential of stalling the execution of the project in time,” he alleged.
In view of the disclosures and allegations including the issue of huge electoral bonds the BJP owes several answers to the people and a high level probe is needed.DD
