Jammu Police Conducts CASO in R.S. Pura


Jammu, J&K (India): Jammu Police conducted a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) at various sensitive and identified hotspot locations within the jurisdiction of Police Station R.S. Pura in Jammu district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The operation was carried out jointly by Police Station R.S. Pura, personnel of the 165 Battalion BSF, and the 262 Battalion CISF as part of its sustained efforts to maintain peace, strengthen security, and prevent anti-social and unlawful activities.


The CASO covered several locations in the Chakroi area, including the residences of persons with criminal antecedents, various houses in Village Joura Farm, an abandoned structure in the village, and the nearby ditch/nallah area. Similar search operations were also conducted in the Baspur Bangla area.

During the operation, all identified locations were thoroughly searched in the presence of family members and occupants while strictly adhering to legal procedures. However, no suspicious person, contraband substance, incriminating material, or objectionable article was found during the searches.

The operation remained peaceful throughout and concluded smoothly without any untoward incident.
Following the completion of the searches, no damage certificates were obtained from the family members and occupants of the houses where the CASO was conducted.
