Jammu ,DD, Anil Paba, a dedicated social activist, writer, and freelance archaeologist, has been awarded the highest J&K Government Award for 2025 in recognition of his excellence in arts and crafts, presented on Republic Day.
A true son of the soil, Paba has spent 35 years tirelessly preserving the art, culture, and heritage of Jammu and Kashmir.
His remarkable contributions include discovering numerous ancient sites and historical temples along ancient trade routes, actively protecting the region’s water bodies, and establishing the Amar Santosh Museum. This private museum serves as a crucial repository, housing artifacts ranging from the Stone Age to the Dogra Rulers, ensuring the region’s rich cultural legacy is meticulously documented and preserved for future generations to explore and understand.DD
