Italian tourist released after questioning in Kathua

KATHUA ,TDD: An Italian tourist, who was detained for suspiciously roaming close to the International Border in Kathua, has been released by the security agencies.

The security agencies became suspicious about his movement, following which, they had detained the Italian citizen namely Sciacca Marco, resident of Torino, Italy.

“He had reached India from Pakistan via Wagah Border, Punjab on October 10,” as per the officials, who wished not to be quoted.

Further disclosing, they said that the tourist was noticed while roaming on his by-cycle on Baniyari – Chakra Road in Marheen in Rajbagh area of Kathua District.”

Pertinently, the security agencies became suspicious as he came to Jammu (India) from Punjab’s Wagah Border, after his tour to the neighbouring countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan, and China.
However, after proper verification process and questioning, he was released by the security agencies. TDD
