Indian Army Organised an Ex Servicemen Meet at Thanamandi, Rajouri

Rajouri: DD, With the aim to connect with Veterans, an interaction meet was conducted at Thanamandi on Indian Army to address grievances, pension related issues and well-being of Veterans and their families. The basic objective behind the meeting was to honour and resolve the problems of Ex-Servicemen.

During the interaction, the invitees were acquainted with the various initiatives undertaken by Army for the welfare of Ex-Servicemen residing in the areas of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. The event was attended representatives of Indian Army. The gathering was made aware of latest Government policies, Digital Life Certificate updation, Chatbot Sambandh, ECHS/ CSD Card renewal or activation, pre-recruitment rallies, Samadhan Grievances Portal and other welfare related measures planned in upcoming months.

During the meet, tea, snacks and lunch was also catered for all invitees. ESMs were given an insight on all possible support and assistance and also what is expected out of them Ex-Servicemen assured that they will motivate youth of their area to join Armed forces to be part of mainstream, keep them away from illegal activities like drug peddling and keep in touch with civil administration.

The meeting provided a platform for open dialogue and constructive discussions on various issues and the way forward for creating a congenial environment between Jawan and AWAM. Event also served to strengthen the bond between Indian Army and the Veterans of this region. It showcased Army’s commitment towards Veterans for their yeomen service to the nation.
A total of 14 Ex-Servicemen attended the event.DD
