Indian Army Conducts Interaction with Ex-Servicemen and Widows at Patnitop

Diplomat Correspondent

Patnitop: The Indian Army conducted an outreach programme at Patnitop with the objective of engaging in direct, one-to-one interaction with ex-servicemen and widows. The initiative was undertaken as a special effort to address issues related to pensions, emoluments, welfare benefits and other miscellaneous grievances, while also strengthening continued engagement with the veteran community. During the interaction, ex-servicemen were encouraged to share their concerns and grievances. They were briefed on various Indian Army welfare initiatives, as well as the latest government policies aimed at supporting veterans and their families. The interaction provided a constructive platform for open dialogue and reassurance. A total of five ex-servicemen from the Patnitop area participated in the programme.
The outreach further reinforced the strong bond between the Indian Army and its veterans, reaffirming the organisation’s enduring commitment to their welfare and well-being.DD
