Forest Dept to improve infrastructure for pilgrims at Pir Ki Gali

Poonch: DD,J&K Forest Department to undertake several initiatives along the Mughal Road aimed at enhancing pilgrim infrastructure at Pir Ki Gali and promoting environmental conservation.

Department to construct Transit Camps, build Huts and undertake aggressive plantation along Mughal Road.

Forest Minister, Javed Rana issues on-spot directions to senior officers of the Department during his visit to Pir Ki Gali today.

The Minister also visited Hirpora Wildlife Sanctuary, reviewed Markhor revival efforts and assessed the impact of human activities and livestock grazing by non-traditional migratory herders on Markhor and its habitat.

Rana also took serious note of non-removal of fallen timber in Hirpora Wildlife Sanctuary and directed for its immediate removal to prevent forest fire and maintain forest health.DD
