Dharti Aaba Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan Held in Zanskar’s Phey Village

Kargil, DD, As part of the Dharti Aaba Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan a camp was organised today at Phey village in Zanskar. The awareness and benefits saturation camp aimed to bridge service delivery gaps in healthcare, education, financial inclusion, and livelihoods, particularly for tribal communities.

The Dharti Aaba Abhiyan, a flagship government initiative, is designed to ensure the last-mile delivery of essential services and benefits to remote and tribal populations. The camp at Phey village brought together multiple services under one roof, reflecting the government’s commitment to holistic and inclusive development.

The awareness and Benefit Saturation Camps at Phey offered a range of services, including:
Issuance of Identity Documents: Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, Caste Certificate, Domicile Certificate.
Healthcare Services: Ayushman Bharat Card (PM-JAY), immunization drives, general medical assistance.
Financial Inclusion: Opening of Jan Dhan accounts, distribution of Kisan Credit Cards (KCC), enrolment under PM-KISAN scheme.
Social Security Schemes: Coverage under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), along with disbursement of Old Age Pension, Widow Pension, and Divyang (disability) Pension.
Veterinary Camps: To support livestock health and livelihoods in the agrarian community.

The primary objective of the camp was to promote holistic and sustainable development in tribal areas by ensuring that government benefits reach the intended beneficiaries without delays or barriers.

Local officials expressed optimism that such initiatives would empower tribal communities by providing them with better access to essential services and socio-economic opportunities.DD
