Combined Annual Training Camp by 1 Girls Battalion NCC Srinagar Commences at Nagrota

Nagrota: DD, The Annual Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC), organized by the 1 J&K Girls Battalion NCC Srinagar has commenced under the aegis of Col SP Tiwari, as the Camp Commandant from April 17 till April 26, 2025, at the NCC Training Academy (NTA), Nagrota. Approximately 450 girl cadets from various regions of Jammu & Kashmir are participating in this camp. The camp provides cadets with a valuable opportunity to train and live together, promoting the core NCC values of discipline, teamwork, camaraderie, and community service. The aim of this camp is to select Sringar group team for Thal Sainik competiton , shooting competition as well as selection of best cadet for Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026 and cultural team for SNIC Srinagar 2025.

A comprehensive range of activities is scheduled during the camp, including:
• Drill practice
• Rifle firing
• Physical Training sessions
• Obstacle training
• Social service initiatives
• Guest lectures on key topics such as Artificial Intelligence & Cyber Security
• Practical demonstrations on Firefighting and Disaster Management
• An Educational excursion has also been planned.

On the first day, cadets arrived at the NTA Nagrota and were warmly welcomed by a reception ceremony. On April 18, after the official opening address was delivered by the Camp Commandant in which the cadets were briefed on the training schedule, administrative protocols, and expectations from the camp.
The cadets have shown immense enthusiasm and are actively participating in all activities. The organizing unit is dedicated to making the camp an enriching experience, aimed at shaping well-rounded individuals and future leaders.DD
