Karnah,DD, A sudden cloudburst and heavy hailstorm between 4:45 pm and 5:45 pm wreaked havoc at the 12MW Karnah Hydroelectric Project on Tuesday (27 May 2025).
The access road to the project was blocked by a landslide along the hill slopes. Excess runoff from nearby upper areas flooded the project site, leading to massive water accumulation. Qazi Nallah, adjacent to the power project, overflowed dangerously following the cloudburst near the headworks and powerhouse.DD
