Civil–Military Fusion Capsule: Cross-Establishment visit organised to Border Out Post Octroi, Suchetgarh

JAMMU, DD: As part of the ongoing Civil–Military Fusion Capsule being conducted in the Jammu region, a cross-establishment visit was organised today to the Border Out Post (BOP) Octroi, Suchetgarh, by the Border Security Force (BSF). The visit aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of BSF’s multifaceted role in border guarding, management and coordination with other security agencies.

Participants included officers from the Indian Army, BSF, CRPF, Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Jammu & Kashmir Police (JKP).

During the visit, BSF officials provided an operational briefing highlighting the force’s responsibilities in border surveillance, anti-infiltration measures and management of border population issues. The participants also observed the infrastructure and technological assets deployed for effective border monitoring.

The visit offered a valuable platform for cross-learning and inter-agency interaction, helping participants gain a deeper appreciation of the challenges and nuances of border management in a sensitive and dynamic security environment. It also underlined the importance of sustained cooperation and seamless coordination among all stakeholders in ensuring peace and security in border areas.

This initiative reinforced the broader objectives of the Civil–Military Fusion Capsule- promoting mutual understanding, synergy and institutional collaboration between civil administration, security forces and intelligence agencies. Participants commended the BSF for its professionalism, operational readiness and its vital contribution to safeguarding the nation’s frontiers.DD
