Chief Secretary chairs review meeting on Compliance Regulation and Deregulation

Leh, DD, The Chief Secretary of the Union Territory of Ladakh, Dr. Pawan Kotwal, chaired a virtual meeting to review the Regulation and Deregulation framework of the MIS (Management Information System) Portal.

During the meeting, a detailed PowerPoint presentation outlining the key sub-priority areas and the proposed action plan to improve regulatory efficiency and streamline departmental processes was presented.

The meeting focused on the overall progress of the MIS Portal and included deliberations on departmental submissions pending approval, as well as feedback and status reports received from the Centre regarding proposals under reconsideration.

Chief Secretary Dr. Kotwal underlined the critical importance of timely and accurate assessments, especially in the context of regulatory compliance and governance transparency. He urged departments to maintain consistency in data reporting and ensure that all submissions are well-documented and up-to-date.

Furthermore, Principal Secretary Sanjeev Khirwar directed all Administrative Secretaries to thoroughly review and revise their respective action plans to ensure accuracy and alignment with the UT’s broader compliance objectives. He also instructed the Urban Development Department to expedite the execution of ongoing projects, stressing the need for efficient implementation and inter-departmental coordination.

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary, Sanjeev Khirwar; DGP, Ladakh, Administrative Secretary, Tourism; Administrative Secretary, Agriculture and Horticulture; Administrative Secretary, RDD; Deputy Secretary, PHE; Director, H&UDD; Director, RDD; Member Secretary LPCC; State Informatic Officer, NIC Leh; Executive Officer, MC Leh and all the officer stationed outside joined the meeting virtually.
